Gogetr respects your privacy and ensures that your personal data is handled with the utmost care. This privacy policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and what rights you have.

1. Who is responsible for processing your data?

Jimmy Lamim Da Silva is the data controller within the meaning of the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation).

2. What personal data do we collect?

We only collect the data necessary for Gogetr to function properly. This information is provided directly by you when you create an account, use your profile, or subscribe to our services.

This includes, among others:

  • Account data: first name, last name, email address, password, language preference.
  • Usage data: goals, subgoals, tasks, categories, reflections, rewards, and settings you create.
  • Subscription data: customer ID, subscription status, trial period, payment status, expiration date.
  • Billing data (via Stripe): payment method, transaction history, invoices.
  • Communication data: emails sent via Brevo and, where applicable, marketing consent.
  • Technical data: authentication cookies used for session management.

After your account is deleted, we only retain your email address internally so we can contact you about future projects or tools created by Gogetr. You can request full removal at any time.

3. Why do we process your data?

We use your data solely for the following purposes:

  • To create and manage your account.
  • To operate and improve Gogetr.
  • To handle subscriptions and payments.
  • To send administrative emails (e.g. password reset, invoices).
  • To send newsletters or updates only if you have explicitly consented.
  • To comply with legal obligations (e.g. accounting).

4. Cookies and tracking

Gogetr uses only essential cookies for authentication and session management. These cookies are necessary for logging in and using the application.

No analytical, marketing, or tracking cookies are set without your consent.

5. Sharing data with third parties

We only share your personal data with trusted third parties that help us deliver our services:

No personal data is shared with third parties for commercial purposes.

6. Data transfers outside the EU

Some of the above services may process data outside the European Union (e.g. in the United States). In such cases, data transfers are protected by Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission, ensuring an equivalent level of protection.

7. Security of personal data

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including:

  • Encryption of sensitive data (e.g. passwords).
  • Secure connections (HTTPS).
  • Limited access to databases - only by the administrator (Jimmy Lamim Da Silva).
  • Regular security updates and audits of servers and software.

8. Data retention

We retain personal data for as long as you have an account. When you delete your account, all data is permanently deleted.

Exceptions:

  • Billing and payment data: kept for 7 years, as required by Belgian accounting law.
  • Email address (after account deletion): retained only if you have not requested complete removal, and solely for future communication about new tools.

9. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access your personal data.
  • Correct inaccurate information.
  • Request deletion of your data (“right to be forgotten”).
  • Restrict or object to data processing.
  • Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format (“data portability”).
  • Withdraw your consent at any time (e.g. for marketing emails).

10. Complaints

If you are not satisfied with how we handle your data, you may file a complaint with the Data Protection Authority (GBA) in Belgium:
